Shaping the industrial future – making energy systems more flexible and paving the way for a circular economy

11. November 2025, 13:30 – 17:30
BMIMI, Radetzkystraße 2, 1030 Vienna, Room EA08

The future of industry is flexible, circular, and climate-neutral. But how can we successfully shape this transformation, accelerate the path toward climate neutrality and overcome practical challenges along the way? Join leading national and international experts from research and industry to explore cutting-edge research projects and exchange insights on sustainable industrial transformation.

Organizer

BMIMI and TU Vienna

Content Description

The event will give insights in national and international initiatives such as the IEA's Industrial Energy-Related Technologies and Systems (IETS) programme and show opportunities for participation. The workshop will highlight national and IEA research projects for a sustainable industrial energy future. From making sector-coupled energy supply more flexible, industrial symbiosis and CCUS to digitalisation and AI – the event will provide insights into the key drivers and barriers to industrial transformation.

This workshop takes place alongside the Industrial Energy-Related Technologies and Systems (IETS) ExCo Meeting.
