IEA Bioenergy - An International Collaboration in Bioenergy

Content Description

The IEA Bioenergy Technology Collaboration Programme (TCP) comprises a world-wide network of experts in every aspect of the value chain of biomass for energy. Our mission is to increase knowledge and understanding of bioenergy systems in order to facilitate the market deployment of environmentally sound, socially acceptable, and cost-competitive, low carbon bioenergy systems and technologies, and to advise policy and industrial decision makers accordingly.

Our work is carried out through "Tasks" and special projects, covering the full value chain from biomass feedstocks to final energy product. Currently 25 countries and the European Commission are members of the TCP.

This webinar will highlight IEA Bioenergy’s strategic focus for the next five years as well as our planned key enabling research areas. It will give insights into the latest technologies available and into the policies that can support bioenergy as well as into the role of IEA Bioenergy for its development. We will also preview our modernized logo, website and visuals, which support our strategic goals.

At the end of the webinar, attendees will have the chance to ask questions directly to IEA Bioenergy's chair.

Presenter: Jim Spaeth - U.S. Department of Energy / Chair IEA Bioenergy
