Summary
Starting point / motivation
The Experts see the concept of the "sustainable building" as one of the most efficient opportunities to achieve climate protection targets. Moreover, modernization of old buildings will be seen as one of the most important challanges for the future within the construction sector.
Contents and goals
Even though energy and environmental technologies are among the booming industries, the educational sector is underestimated. The latest results and concepts of "sustainable building" are not available conveniently for learners and teachers at secondary schools /technical schools (Berufsbildenden Höheren Schulen, Fachschulen and Berufsschulen).
Hence, most professionals don´t have expertise to apply latest energy efficient concepts and technologies for construction of new buildings or in relation to a thermal modernization of old buildings sensibly.
Thus, the main objective of the project is to produce teaching-material based on Ecobuilding ("sustainable building") for secondary schools / technical schools (Berufsbildende Höhere Schulen and Berufsschulen) in cooperation with school stakeholders (education experts) and by using e-learning platforms.
Methods of treatment
The aim would also be, to create teaching materials, which are modular and sequential and which can be used as an enlargement and enrichment by teachers. An additional aim is, to prove the teaching materials in a test-phase in schools.
For the project work this means that we have to take into account existing curriculas and to prepare the latest knowledge according to sustainable building in terms of smaller subsets and to consider the newest elearning methods and experiences.
Results / conclusions
The project was linked with another project. Results and the final report in German can be found at the project "e-genius: the Open Content knowledge and learning platform".
