E-Concierge - Basis information for planning tools regarding charging solutions in real estates

The result will provide a solid information basis for potential EV-users regarding suitable destination charging solutions.

Short Description

Starting point / motivation

The predictable and already measurable increasing electrification of passenger transport initializes a substantial change in the well-to-wheel energy supply chain, moving away from the provision of energy carriers at centralized stations (gas stations) and approaching a system which demands a de-centralized energy provision at start- and end-destinations of vehicles and passengers.

Contents and goals

This leads to the demand for a new planning tool for real estate developers, who now have to face the challenge of assessing, planning and providing electricity and charging technology in their building and garages. Therefore, the goal of this project is to develop the scientific basis for such a charging infrastructure assessment and to implement the results and methods in a user-friendly interface, which will be provided to real-estate developers after the project.

Methods

Starting with the analysis of mobility patterns, electric mobility market scenarios and linked technological specifications and requirements, the identification of relevant parameters will be carried out.

Expected results

As a result the developed planning tool will provide a catalogue for building specific options and recommendations that will allow real estate developers to autonomously plan and assess charging infrastructure projects. To demonstrate the capabilities of the tool, a number of example projects will be analyzed.
