Postponed: Energy Storage Europe 2020
Messe Düsseldorf GmbH
"ENERGY STORAGE EUROPE proves that storage solutions provide momentum for the decarbonisation of value chains in numerous sectors. The successful projects presented in Düsseldorf will show that quite clearly. But they also prove the advantages of an early involvement of storage system manufacturers and planners in the project development. This is why we will continue to work on connecting operators and storage experts," says Dr. Andreas Moerke, Head of ENERGY STORAGE EUROPE.
The overarching theme is "climate protection" and the contribution that storage systems make to this. On the first day of the conference, the key notes from representatives of the EU Commission and the World Bank will deal with the political framework, while in the session "Linking Climate Protection and Business: The Management View" industry representatives such as Dr. Christian Fischer, member of the board of management of Robert Bosch GmbH, will discuss Bosch’s "path to CO2 neutrality".
The IRES and ESE components of the conference complement each other ideally: While the ESE conference by Messe Düsseldorf focuses on business models and best practices for thermal storage, power-to-X including hydrogen and battery storage, as well as international markets, the IRES sessions by EUROSOLAR focus on research & development in the fields of thermal storage, battery storage, other electrical storage, chemical storage and power-to-x technologies and will also present their combination and optimized use in energy systems.
The program will be complemented by accompanying workshops of ESE’s partner BVES (the German Association for Energy Storage Systems) on questions of standardization/testing, legal conditions for storage and standardization processes.
