Content Description

The European Geothermal industry will meet in Berlin, Germany, to discuss the latest developments in this growing industry. The result will be new, clear information about the status and trajectory of the sector for a geothermal decade.

Every three years, stakeholders from all parts of the geothermal sector whether academic, industrial, financial, policy-making, or societal come together for the European Geothermal congress, organised by the European Geothermal Energy Council (EGEC).

The desired program of the European Geothermal Congress 2022 has been developed under the four main streams:

  1. Geothermal solutions for the future renewable energy systems
  2. Policy & Markets
  3. Technology & Innovation
  4. Research & Development

More than 30 sessions will be held on the 3-days of the conference, under the 4 mentioned streams. Moreover, the participation of high-level speakers from the European policy arena and geothermal sector during the main sessions will be key to making EGC 2022 an unforgettable congress.

In addition, 3 excursions and 2 side events have been organised to give the participants a complete-geothermal-experience.

The anticipated success of this event is reflected in the program, side events, and excursions, but it is important to highlight the rapid sell-out of the exhibition area. More than 50 booths were booked in less than one month requiring the organizing committee to secure a new exhibition space to allow for a higher number of exhibitors.

Without a doubt, EGC 2022 is the perfect opportunity for members of the geothermal community to connect, share insights and exchange ideas.
